Abstract
In this study, we looked at research trends on verification of mediation effects through papers published in 「Restaurant Management Research」. As a result of the analysis, first, recently (since 2020), interest in the mediation effect among restaurant management researchers has increased. Second, regression analysis and structural equation modeling are mainly used as mediation effect verification methodologies. Third, the mainly used parameters are customer satisfaction, self-efficacy, trust, perceived value, innovative behavior, subjective norm, primary satisfaction, and emotional response. And after 2020, trust, emotional response, and subjective norm were used a lot. The results of this study will be able to provide basic information to restaurant management researchers who wish to conduct research to verify mediation effects in the future. It is also meaningful in that it provides a theoretical basis for selecting appropriate parameters according to the characteristics of the research subject.
