Abstract

The study aims to analyse the fulfillment of the state defence order regarding mass production of the R-113 tank radio sets “Granat” at the Ryazan radio manufacturing plant. The paper sheds light on the process of production of complex radio technical apparatus. Considerable attention is paid to the technical re-equipment of the plant. The paper identifies and describes the characteristic features of sophistication of production, its mechanisation and automation. The work is novel in that it carries out a comprehensive analysis of the considered issue based on the introduction of new singular archival materials of both regional and union-republic significance into scientific use. As a result, the researcher has proved that despite the extremely difficult economic conditions, the authorities of the Ryazan region were able to organise mass production of the tank radio set and fulfill the defence order that ensured the state’s power and national security.
