Abstract
The poetry of Desanka Maksimović has been interpreted in terms of the traditional iconography that is a fundament of its expression. The “Spring Poem” indicates a geometrical optics that is imposed in the form of an aesthetical criterion, which also pervades the traditional iconography. Such a result has the subtle significance for iconography and poetry as well, which has not been elucidated in details despite numerous investigations of the issue. The light of the “Spring Poem” by Desanka Maksimović is chimerical, which has defined geometry that makes the sight to be existent involving some traces of hesychastic theology.
