Abstract
The article summarizes the main methods of identifying the competitive advantages of rural areas. Based on the results of the study, "attractiveness-competitiveness" matrices were built to assess the competitive advantages of rural areas within the administrative boundaries of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan for agricultural production and leading agricultural organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan by type of activity 01 "Crop and animal husbandry, hunting and provision of relevant services in these areas" according to the current accounting and historical reports presented on the Testfirm website. Areas with high attractiveness and high competitiveness of agricultural production include Sabinsky; Mamadysh; Baltasinsky; Kukmorsky; Laishevsky; Tukaevsky. Organizations with high attractiveness and high competitiveness of activities include Agro-Industrial Company Food Program LLC (dairy cattle breeding), Kamsky Bacon LLC (pig breeding); Chelny-Broiler LLC (poultry).
