Abstract

In the scientific revision the actual problem of transformation of musical review genre starting from 90th of XX century up to present time has been revealed. As a result of studying linguistic literature it was found that this process is connected with the development of musical industry, appearance of new musical albums, expansion of young audience that demands professional analysis of musical tendencies. It is recognized that at the present stage of interest in the discourse as a process of communication in the Internet network is growing. At the same time, young people require a flexible approach to the examination of musical innovations, easy to understand, accessible in terms of the content and form of musical reviews. Different approaches to defining the notion of «musical review» are analyzed, this genre of linguistic text is characterized, criteria of classification are determined and the actual problem of refining the content of musical review as a text genre is discussed. The analysis of genre features is carried out and the main features of modern music reviews in mass media (reduction of analytical content, deepening of informative component, directing to interested audience, multimedia as a positive step on the way of genre transformation) are determined. The authors of the article also focus on the preparation of a competent, fully developed citizen, a bearer of Ukrainian culture, able to perceive the culture of other nations and to enter into communication with them. As a result, the emphasis is placed on the formationof general cultural literacy as one of the ways of developing artistic sensibilities, critical thinking, and an appreciative towards works of art in schoolchildren. This article describes the methods of working on review of a work of art in 11th grade Ukrainian language classes. The difference between a musical review and a review of a work of art as a genre of works for the development of speech is shown. The specific character of a review of a musical work is revealed, its structure is determined, and a system of emotional characteristics to help pupils is suggested. Linguists focus on the development of critical thinking in high school students and innovative approaches that are appropriate to use in the work on the book about a work of art.
