Abstract
The late Nason Kim Dong-Uk Professor is a researcher of Korean literature and well versed in bibliography, traditional clothes, pottery, gisaeng etc. He conducted research that almost all fields, including old novels, hyangga, sijo, sokyo, literary history within Korean literature. However, his most representative field of research can be said to be the study on Chunhyang-jeon. Becuse he left the largest numger of books and papers on Chunhyang-jeon in the longest period of his life. We can understand his study on Chuhyang-jeon in three periods. In the 1st stage(1953~1965), he established the law of Pansori novel represented Chunhyang-jeon. In the 2nd stage(1966~1976), he discovered many versions and used them for research. In the 3rd stage (1977~1979), he replaced Namwongosa with the most important version to understand Chunhyang-jeon properly.
