Abstract
An analysis of car engine cooling systems and methods for cleaning car radiators is provided, an ultrasonic method for cleaning radiators by cavitation in tubes filled with water is proposed, and radiator designs are described. A physical picture of the process based on the cavitation of water in radiator tubes is given. An experimental setup for ultrasonic cleaning of radiators is described. The differences between hydrodynamic and acoustic cavitation are given. The results of the experiment confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method are given.
