Abstract

The purpose of this study was to provide basic data that can be used for vocational preparation and educational training of prospective female Taekwondo leaders who act as future Taekwondo leaders. Five female Taekwondo leaders, aged 30 to 50 participated in this study and took deep-interviews two times during three months. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis and the results yielded four big themes related to the study purpose: experiencing socialization for a positive job, experiencing careers related to instructor’s roles, experiencing job limitations, and building strategies as female Taekwondo instructor. The findings were not only a good educational material for Kukkiwon, the Korean Taekwondo Association, and Taekwondo related department that nurture female Taekwondo leaders, but it can be a basic data that can be used for adaptation in Taekwondo related job by female Taekwondo leaders.
