Abstract
Experiments were carried out on the boulders of fine-wooled sheep of the Prekos breed in the conditions of the sheep farm. Lambs of the first three experimental groups aged, respectively, 1, 2 and 3 months were subjected to a single external gamma radiation at a dose of 0,4 Gy at the Gamma installation «Puma». Animals of the fourth group served as control and were not subjected to radiation. The data obtained indicate that a single radiation of lambs at a dose of 0,4 Gy led to a significant increase in intensity of their growth, meat, wool productivity, survival, natural length of wool fibers, increased resistance to cod of the facial layer of the skin and the strength of the skin tissue of manufactured and ennobled sheepskin semi-finished products compared to control analogues.
