Abstract

The article is devoted to the genre of comedy, one of the most relevant genres of contemporary film space, its direct development and samples in the cinema and on television. The development of the genre from the first samples (mid-twentieth century.) and to this day, the first its appearance, as such, is indicated. Great attention is paid to the role of directors who make films of this genre so that they look like a real documentary film. The difference between documentary and pseudo documentary films is determined. The mockumentary genre is considered, as diverse in its artistic task and content, the genre used to analyze the actual events and phenomena on the example of the fictional object of the film. The directors realized the psychology of deception, the properties of the game and invented a new technology with their methods, techniques, successful tricks; they learned how to create for their viewers their own “almost real world”. Cinematographers, looking at what kind of boom caused this genre, began to create such tapes one by one. It is explained that the main features of this genre are: imitation of documentary, use of techniques of mysticism and falsification. The cinema is a kind of motive, an incentive to actively interfere with one’s life and change it for the better on the way to the ideal. The game nature of art and the genre of mockumentary have a common property – the transformation of the outside world. New views of the genre of mockumentary reveal the ability to find the emotional and intellectual cinema. Mockumentary genre films often appear in the form of historical documentaries with a chronicle and various kinds of specialists discussing past events. Such films are often or partially improvisations, as improvisation help to maintain the visibility of truthfulness. The emotionality and intelligence of the cinematic and television genre of the mockumentary (pseudo documentary films) and why game films are increasingly pretending to be documentary are investigated.
