Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of providing information about the quality of the GIS information base, which becomes a decisive factor in their use, defines the external and internal data quality, and also proposes a method for assessing the usefulness of a data set, which can be carried out by comparing the values of the set quality criteria with ideal values.
