Chumakov is devoted to the discussion of issues directly related to the scientific biography of the outstanding Pushkinist and researcher of Russian poetry., Yu. N. Chumakov, а man of difficult fate, shares his memories of significant biographical events. The letters reveal in a new way both the important properties of his philological thinking and the features of his extraordinary personality.
