Abstract

А remote measurement of the lunar regolith temperature from a lander is expected in the near future. A special bench for experimental testing of the experiment details has been created. The test bench simulates the measurement of the temperature of the lunar regolith at depths down to 1 m. The design features and thermal characteristics of the device are considered. The simulator operates at normal atmospheric pressure and provides a temperature drop from 20 to 100 Celsius in a meter-long regolith layer. It is planned to create a test bench that provides operation in a vacuum and a temperature drop from minus 150 to minus 30 Celsius.
