Abstract

In the conditions of Yakutia, 6 helminthiasis were identified in wild game animals, which infected 8 species of animals: wolf, lynx, wolverine, fox, American mink, sable, ermine, weasel. It is known that helminthozoonoses pose a particular danger to people and cause economic and environmental damage. The purpose of the work was to identify the current epizootic situation regarding helminthiasis of commercial animals in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The material for the study was helminthological samples from game animals. The research was carried out during 2022–2023. The hunted animals were brought from the hunting grounds of Yakutia. Animal carcasses or their fragments were subjected to full or partial helminthological examination. The detected helminths were differentiated according to generally accepted determinants. A total of 128 specimens of game animals were studied. During the research, 6 helminthiasis were identified: trichinosis, echinococcosis and 4 taeniasis.
