Abstract
The role of spiritual mentor (Murshid) is very much important in the Islamic Tasawwuf. In Sultan Bahu's verses also concept of mentor is found as in other sufi poets. Murshid is a guardian of his followers who are following the path close to Allah. Murshid purifies the feelings of his spiritual students with his teachings and spiritual attention. Nobody can attain the way of love of Allah without murshid. Murshid is a representative of Holy Prophet (SAW).
