Abstract

Orientation to self-development, self-actualization allow a person to become an active subject of life and professional self-realization and is in demand both at the level of personal and social goals. This leads to changes throughout the education system. In our opinion, preparation for performing professional pedagogical functions should be connected with the concept of self-expression, which takes into account the significant characteristics of the modern teacher: the level of independence and responsibility for the results of their activity, creative attitude to the activity, awareness of their self-worth, uniqueness; that allows us to view the educational process as not only appealing to the student, but also to the teacher, to his self-realization, to self-development in professional activity. The features of the teacher's self-expression not only build his appearance, are manifested in language, facial expressions, gestures, behavior, determine the style of communication, but they determine the focus of professional activity on self-knowledge and search for opportunities for their professional realization. We understand the professional self-expression of the teacher as the ability to express in the professional pedagogical activity (in the external manifestation) his inner self, his activity in the objectification process without assistance, an integral of self-affirmation and social responsibility, the analysis of different models or types of activity. Based on theoretical generalizations, we have come to the conclusion that the professional self-expression of a future teacher is a generalized characteristic of his personality, which explains the state of manifestation of his development as a professional, through activation of his professional purpose, achievements in professional self-development, demonstration of professional self-development.The criteria and levels of teachers' professional self-expression are characterized: low (external-image), basic (socio-professional), high (creative).
