Abstract

Recognition of the role of culture and values for the development of the economy requires a revision of economic methodology. Geopolitical crisis and the aggravation of social and moral problems actualized the topic. The article is devoted to the analysis of the evolution of economic knowledge about socio-cultural capital, the formation of a positive and normative approach, the current state of moral and socio-cultural economics, their theoretical and methodological basis and the demarcation of boundaries between them. The article makes an important contribution to the development of economic theory and the formation of a new paradigm.
