Abstract
The article examines the theoretical aspects of innovative cooperation based on a retrospective analysis of scientific ideas about the essence of innovations and their classification. Special attention is given to the study of the essence and content of organizational (managerial) innovations. Various models of innovation processes are analyzed, on the basis of which a conclusion is made about the need for their combination. Based on the results of the study, the author substantiates the prospects of inter-organizational innovative interaction, and also points out the need to involve participants represented by government bodies and universities in the interaction schemes.
