Abstract
The article considers the variants of the reaction of society and culture to the crisis state of postmodernity. The role and place of alienation in post-industrial society is analyzed, as well as the problem of the society of abundance. The proposed idea of homo tardus is considered as a special regime, manifested in the process of slowing down participation in economic relations, as a form of resistance to the current state of society. The process of the hidden return of the meta-narrative in the conditions of the prevailing postmodernity is investigated.
