Abstract

The historical importance and value of each heroic deed is shown during the Great Patriotic war. The feat of the cadets who directly participated in the rescue of the panorama of Sevastopol is considered. The purpose of the study is to continue the formation of social memory, which is becoming particularly relevant in modern Russia. The history of the creation of the Sevastopol panorama is presented and, based on archival materials, the story of its salvation is told, the heroes who saved «our history» with improvised means are indicated.
