Abstract

The article examines the early stage of the accordion performance development in Vladivostok (the turn of the XIX-XX centuries). The majority of the analysed historical sources are for the first time introduced into scientific circulation. For the first time the author suggests a periodization of the mentioned stage, clarifies biographical details of the outstanding accordion players, who gave concerts in Vladivostok at that time. The conclusion is made that the accordion propagation in the cultural and political centre of the Russian Far East promoted flourishing development of the accordion, button accordion and piano accordion culture in the region.
