Abstract
In the article the approaches to the social responsibility of business are investigated. The world experience of formation of models of social responsibility of business is analyzed. For Ukraine, the influence of governments on the formation of the system of corporate social responsibility, the strong role of international institutions and donors in the development of the concept of corporate social responsibility, the insignificant role of public and expert organizations and the media in shaping the social responsibility of business are characteristic.Features of the system of social responsibility on the railways of Ukraine are considered. Systemic changes in the economy and in the industry had a negative impact on the state of social responsibility in rail transport. For the further progressive development and active growth of public corporation "Ukrainian Railways" it is necessary to give priority to social policy issues and constantly raise the level of responsibility not only for clients but also for their employees.
