Abstract

The paper aims to identify sources and parameters of culturological conception of the famous Soviet art critic Viktor Nikitich Lazarev (1897-1976). Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that V. N. Lazarev’s research works are for the first time considered through the lens of modern cultural studies and related sciences studying interaction of scientific, culturological and ideological discourses. The conducted research allows concluding that V. N. Lazarev’s texts contain meaningful levels, sufficiently autonomous and possessing their own discursive logic.
