Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyzes the relationships between psychological needs and Achievement Goal Orientation for Bally dance Workshop. A total of 417 questionnaires were used for the study, female adults over 20 years old who participated in the Belly Dance Workshop more than once. Collected data were analyzed by Windows SPSS version 21.0. To examine respondents demographics traits, frequency analysis was processed and reliability analysis, and correlation analysis for relationship between the variables were conducted. Finally, multiple regression analysis was made for the research hypotheses. According to results, the demographic characteristics of participants of Belly dance workshops were significantly different from participation duration and all psychological needs sub-factors. Second, participation period and participation frequency were found to be significantly different from achievement goal orientation. Third, in the relationship between psychological desire and achievement goal orientation of Belly dance workshop participants, task orientation showed significant influence on autonomy. Also, task oriented tendency showed a significant influence on good performance results and relationship with others.
