Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate and compare the productivity of our country"s industrial fishery cooperatives. Therefore, this study examine the changes in productivity of 20 industrial fishery cooperatives for the last six years from 2013 to 2018, and analyze the factors that influenced these changes in productivity. The results of the study showed us a reduction in overall total factor productivity by 21% between 2013 and 2018. However, while the total component productivity for each year decreased in 2014 and 2017 compared to the previous year, 2015, 2016 and 2018 increased. Therefore, we could see that the fishery cooperatives have improved productivity due to recent management improvements. In analyzing the productivity each of 20 industrial fishery cooperatives, DMU18(Jeju fish aquaculture cooperatives) increased the most, and this is due to an increase in production of halibut which is a major production variety.
