Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the causal relationship among public service motivation(PSM), vocational calling, and job involvement of fire service officers. A covariance structural analysis was conducted to verify causal relations among research variables and this model was considered acceptable.BR The findings of this study were as follows: First, there was significant correlations between PSM and vocational calling, between vocational calling and job involvement. However, there is no direct correlations between PSM and job involvement. Secondly, fit of research model used in this study was confirmed acceptable. Thirdly, PSM had an indirect influence on job involvement via vocational calling of firefighters
