Abstract

The research gains its importance by addressing an important topic represented by perceived social control (which is related to an important segment of society members, namely university students, so the current research objective is to identify: -1- Identifying the perceived social control among university students 2- Identifying the differences in perceived social control according to the variables (sex, specialization) To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher did the following: The researcher adopted the scale of perceived social control and completing the conditions of honesty, stability and the ability to discriminate. The researcher used alternatives to the scale. It applies to me completely. To complete this, the researcher applied the scale to a sample of (400) male and female students at the University of Al-Qadisiyah for the morning study for the year 2021_2022, which was chosen in a proportional random way, then the data was analyzed statistically using the program (spss) for Educational and Psychological Sciences. The study reached the following results University students have perceived social control, and this represents a positive sign, which means that they are characterized by a high degree of ability to control their behavior and actions.
