Abstract

Based on the American researcher Julia Sonnevend’s concept of the five dimensions of transnational storytelling, the article examines the consistent patterns of the transformation of local incidents into global news. Authors speculate the ossibilities to extrapolate the named concept to unfinished stories of events that are unfolding at the moment. The subjects of the study are the mass-media narratives on the Blue Whale game that transforming before our eyes from the series of local controversial incidents into a transnational news story.
