Abstract

The analysis undertaken in this paper indicates an increase in the inconsistency of the Russian party-political system with the modern demands of society. This is becoming one of the main reasons for increasing activity in the political space, accompanied by changes in the motivation of electoral behavior of Russians, which is characterized by an aggravation of the internal contradictions of public consciousness, an increase in social discontent, protest moods and desire for social change. The analysis is based on the data of the Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey of the Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE).
