Abstract

Dams are national resources that protect the ecosystem and contain the value of tourism resources. Yeongju Dam located in Yeongju started construction in December 2019 as part of the Four Rivers Maintenance Project and completed the main dam in December 2016. Currently, the Ministry of Environment is in conflict over the maintenance and dismantling of the dam. The area around domestic dams is contributing to the revitalization of the local economy with the purpose of environmental improvement and tourism resources according to the surrounding landscape. This study intends to create an eco-friendly national garden in terms of ecological conservation by collecting opinions on the preservation of the dam based on the perception survey of local residents in the villages where idle land was formed while lowering the water level of the dam. As a research method, to prioritize the protection of the ecosystem and maximize its use as a resource desired by citizens through collecting opinions through domestic waterfront space development cases, local residents' opinions on whether or not dams are maintained or not, and interviews with water quality management experts, the purified landscape wetlands A national ecological garden was proposed by constructing an ecological waterside conservation belt by dividing it into creation, non-point pollution storage facility construction, and eco-friendly planting construction.
