Abstract

Objectives: This study examined the social responsibility, transformational leadership and career preparation behavior of dental hygiene students, and tried to identify the factors affecting career preparation behavior.
 Methods: The data of the study were collected from November 8 to 18, 2022 The subjects of this study were 170 second and third grade dental hygiene students. The data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and multiple linear regression analysis.
 Results: The average scores for social responsibility, transformational leadership and career preparation behavior were 3.33±.48, 3.59±.57, 2.49±.48. The factors that affected career preparation behavior were social responsibility (β=.38, p<.001), grade (β=.33, p<.001), leadership education (β= .14, p=.043).
 Conclusions: In order to increase the career preparation behavior of a prospective graduate, it is necessary to provide social responsibility and leadership education program.
