Abstract

The article discusses a number of approaches to the question of the relationship between the concepts of “creati­vity” and “oeuvre”, the distinctive characteristics of each of them are noted. A significant difference between creativity and oeuvre is established when considering their general orientation towards creating something new. The different sociocultural status of the new in creativity and oeuvre is revealed, “secondary novelty” as an essential sign of creative activity and fundamental novelty as a distinctive feature of creative activity are compared. A comparative analysis of creativity and oeuvre is carried out through an appeal to artistic culture, the development of which was influenced by Internet technologies. Attention to such a phenomenon of modern network literature as fan fiction has deepened the understanding of the originality of creativity and its difference from oeuvre.
