Abstract
The article deals with the issue of organising verbal manipulation, which is understood as a speech practice or model of existing in a social group in general and in a specific communicative situation in particular. The article is novel in that it identifies and justifies archetypical models of verbal manipulation practices and principles of their organisation. The study aims to determine the content and organising principles of verbal manipulation practices, their correlation with archetypical communication practices. The results showed that speakers base themselves upon the principle of imitating successful verbal cooperation, the principle of verbal empathy and the principle of coercion to verbal submission in the process of verbal manipulation.
