Abstract

Introduction. Natural disasters, tsunamis, floods, forest fires are a pressing problem both for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as Vietnam) and for a number of other countries and regions. When destructive events occur, Vietnamese firefighters coordinate with police and rescue workers to search for victims and conduct searches for missing persons. To maintain skills in working in emergency situations and improve their professional level, firefighters and rescuers on an ongoing basis conduct various classes, exercises, demonstrations to practice actions in emergency situations, and maintain fire trucks, water transport and fire-fighting equipment in good condition. Young personnel are being trained in the field of fire and rescue. The information presented in the article can be used both in the educational process and for scientific purposes when conducting research in the field of technospheric safety. The publication examines the main aspects of the organization of fire protection and emergency rescue services in Vietnam; organizational structure for managing fire and emergency services of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam; basic laws regulating fire safety issues; management, financial and technical support mechanisms; issues of personnel training for fire departments and mechanisms for monitoring emergency situations. A review of the regulatory framework was carried out. The purpose of the study is to study the main aspects of organizing the activities of fire and rescue services in Vietnam. Research methods. To obtain the results, general scientific and special methods of scientific knowledge were used - analysis, generalization, analysis of empirical data, economic analysis, which were based on the general principles of the theory of analysis and systems analysis. Research results. An analysis of the activities of the fire department and emergency rescue service of Vietnam was carried out, taking into account their further development in the near future. Conclusion. The data obtained during the study of activities in the field of fire safety in Vietnam will form the basis of scientific work dedicated to supporting the management of small fire departments in Vietnam, as well as in the review scientific and auxiliary bibliographic manual "Firefighting in Europe and on other continents".
