Abstract
The article considers a scientifically based approach to the issue of a passenger choosing a travel mode in the city from three alternatives: urban public transport, a personal vehicle or walking. The factors influencing this choice are analyzed. A method for calculating the probabilities of choosing a travel mode to be used in transport planning is proposed.
