Abstract

This study aims to find out the research trends by searching and analyzing papers that have studied sports welfare conducted in the Korean physical education community since 2000. To this end, a total of 76 related papers were selected by entering sports welfare and sports welfare as search terms in the search engine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of these studies and present future research directions for sports sociology, sports policy research, and sports welfare. The results of the study are as follows; First, the current status of papers published by academic journals include 9 papers from the Journal of Korea Sport Society, 8 from the Korean Journal of Physical Education, 7 from Journal of Korean Society Sports Policy, the Korea Journal of Sport Science 10 and Entertainment Law 4, Philosophy of Movement 7, Journal of Korean Society for Wellness 9. Second, the analysis of the research subjects by publication year was in the order of sports welfare experts (24), senior citizens (19), ordinary people (7), disabled people (7), underprivileged people (4), athletes (7), youth (2), and leaders (6). Third, the current status of the research topics analysis of the published papers has been conducted under the themes of the law and policy of sports welfare (16), welfare improvement (8), sports welfare concept and model (8), sports welfare discourse and paradigm (7), and sports welfare system improvement plan (8). Fourth, most of the research methods were analyzed by publication year with 36 literature studies, and 18 quantitative and 12 qualitative studies were conducted each, and 11 integrated studies were conducted in combination with qualitative and quantitative studies.
