Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among qualification types, work style and self- actualization of golf instructors. In order to conduct this study, 221 subjects were selected from sports centers and golf association in Seoul and the Kyunggi province, 2002 by the stratified cluster sampling method. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire in which self-actualization consisted of questions regarding as identified by Min(1986). Among these selected subjects, 221 responded, and data analyses consisted of employing descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, χ 2(Chi-square) and ANCOVA using SPSS/PC version 10.0. The following results were obtained: First, qualification type, work style and self-actualization of golf instructors differ statistically and significantly according to socio-demographic variable. Secondly, work style differs statistically and significantly according to qualification of golf instructors. Thirdly, self-actualization differs statistically and partially according to qualification of golf instructors. Fourth, self-actualization doesn`t differ statistically according to work style of golf instructors.
