Abstract

The artistic text is interesting object in ethnolinguistics studies for several reasons: 1) it is created by the linguistic personality, which is the competent bearer of culture; 2) it is addressed to a wide range of readers who can decrypt messages because they have a partly shared cognitive base with the author; 3) becoming an object of publicity, it forms the public consciousness, acts as a source of a priori knowledge (preceding individual experience). The texts of a realistic style reflect the stereotypical image of the world as much as possible. Consequently, this material can be used to reconstruct the linguistic and conceptual picture of the world of different cultures. Through the creation of possible worlds and the application of various tactics of speech influence implements the utilitarian function of literature and is embodied communicative goals of the author. Therefore, within the limits of ethnolinguistic research it is expedient to carry out an analysis of the verbalization of both conventional and occasional meanings.
