Abstract
The article examines the issues of female bourgeois’ real estate ownership in a provincial town of the post-reform epoch. In the second half of the XIX - at the beginning of the XX century, Orenburg female bourgeois were active participants in the local real estate market. As the full-fledged owners of the town real estate, they signed contracts of purchase and sale of real estate, information of which is available in the State Archives of Orenburg region. The paper also describes the basic sources of Orenburg female bourgeois’ residential and non-residential property and provides examples of how they disposed of it.
