Abstract

Purpose. Improve the quality of vision after refractive lens exchange; reduce dependence on glasses; get rid of halo effects; reduce the financial burden on the patient. Material and methods. Patients were treated in the «EyeDoctor» ophthalmology clinic, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Monofocal IOLs were implanted in the dominant eye (for emmetropia) and trifocal IOLs were implanted in the non-dominant eye. Results. A month after the operation, patients filled out a questionnaire to find out how satisfied they were with the treatment Results. All of the patients answered that they didn't need to use glasses on the different distance, and there were few complaints for galo-effects. Conclusion. This method shows good refractive results, satisfaction with the results is high; there were a few complaints for galo-effects.
