Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to find out the effects of positive psychological capital and grit through dental hygiene and curriculum on career preparation behavior.
 Methods: This study was conducted with 245 students enrolled in the Department of Dental Hygiene.
 Results: In the sub-factors of positive psychological capital, optimism (β=.281, p=.000), self-efficacy (β=.334, p=.000), elasticity (β=.414, p=.000), and significant difference was found in hope (β=.105, p=.000). and significant difference was found in grit (β=.152, p=.000).
 Conclusions: Through continuous, long-term career education throughout college life, specific measures to improve dental hygiene students' internal motivation, positive psychological capital and grit, should be prepared.
