Abstract
It is shown that the diffusion zone at the interlayer boundary of steel 20880 + aluminum AD1 consists of two layers: the Fe2Al5 intermetallic compound located on the steel side and constituting the main part of the diffusion zone, and a thin (up to 10 μm) layer of the FeAl3 intermetallic compound on the aluminum side. Microhardness of the diffusion zone ~ 12 GPa. It has been established that the intensity of growth of the diffusion zone at the interlayer boundary of aluminum AD1 + titanium VT1-0 with the phase composition TiAl3 is almost one and a half times lower than at the interlayer boundary of steel 20880 + aluminum AD1. Its microhardness is ~5 GPa.
