Abstract

In the context of the escalating struggle between the United States and China for leadership and the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, the task of analyzing achievements in space exploration by China and other countries of the world becomes especially relevant for Russia. It is necessary to assess China’s prospects for the implementation of its space flight and research programs, which would allow us to identify possible areas of Russian-Chinese cooperation. In this work, the directions of China’s space exploration are analyzed in chronological order and the prospects of this country for the implementation of space flight programs, moon exploration, planetary research, as well as military space programs, dual-use space programs and programs of Chinese private companies are assessed. The results of the analysis and assessment can be used to substantiate recommendations to the leadership of our country on Russian-Chinese cooperation and ensuring security in space. It is concluded that the People’s Republic of China is becoming one of the leaders in space exploration, which makes it possible to expand cooperation with it in this area.
