Abstract
The authors explore the youth protest movements in the late 1960s (1968) in the Federal Republic of Germany. Based on various historical sources the authors reveal that the protest movement in full form haven’t occurred in that period. The resource base of the social movement was weak, due to the lack of powerful financial sponsorship; the informal leaders of the movement could not come together due to constant disagreements among them. The ideologues of the Frankfurt School had particular bearing on the protest movements that period. The authors substantiate that the youth protest movements can be seen as a rather imperfect form of struggle for civil and political rights.

Summary
The authors explore the youth protest movements in the late 1960s (1968) in the Federal Republic of Germany.
