ABSTRACT A Case Report of Trigeminal Neuralgia of Pregnant Soeumin Treated by Traditional Korean MedicineJi-Yeon Lee 1 , Soo-Hyeon Yoon 1 , Hye-Sook Cho 1 Soo-Hyung Jeon 2 , In-Seon Lee 11 Dept. of OB & GY, College of Oriental Medicine, Dong-Eui University 2 Dept. of Sasang Constitution Medicine, College of Oriental Medicine, Dong-Eui UniversityObjectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean me dical treatment on a patient with trigeminal neuralgia during pregnan cy. Methods: We treated a facial pain patient diagnosed as trigeminal neura lgia during pregnancy with acupuncture, cupping and herbal medicines. Herba l medicines were prescribed according to the pati ent's Sasang constitution which was Soeumin. The severity of symptom was evaluated by Numeric Rating System (NRS ). Results: After treatment, the patient’s facial pain caused by trigemina l neuralgia was improved. NRS score was decreased from 6 to 0. Conclusions: This case report shows that traditional Korean medical treatme nt and Sasang constitution medicine is effective for the patient w ith trigeminal neuralgia during pregnancy.
