Abstract

The purpose of the study is to establish a connection between new urban spatial models and the process of managing the life of the population in compliance with the sustainability conditions of the urban environment. As a result, a variant of management with the help of indicative indicators is pro-posed, which allows an increasing number of participants to manage the internal transformation of an urbanized territory. The data obtained can be used to achieve priority goals, for example, for long-term strategic planning of urban development. The results of the calculations confirm the practical signifi-cance of the proposed option for managing the urbanized environment. It is concluded that a well-designed and high-quality urban environment can be no less comfortable than an adaptive natural en-vironment. The study attempts to identify the physical properties that contribute to the perceived re-generative effect of the urban environment. The question of the influence of the narrative on the at-tractiveness and interest in the natural and urban environment is considered. An algorithm for as-sessing the degree of updating of urban design documents is given and the calculation of the urbaniza-tion quality index is performed.
