Abstract
The relevance of the results of the activities of peasant (farmer) farms in the food supply system has increased due to the introduction of sanctions and embargoes for Russia by Western countries. The article presents the main goals, tasks, problems of the work of peasant (farmer) farms as a special group of agricultural producers, the possibilities of farmers’ cooperation in the new economic reality. The features of production in the agricultural sector in comparison with large commodity production and other aspects of the agricultural sector are considered, based on the economic material obtained in the course of research. The problems of farms related to state support in the new economic realities are considered.
