Abstract

New requirements for archival processing and storage of accumulated folklore material are focused in the article by Ukrainian ethnomusicologist Andriy Vovchak (Андрій Вовчак) in the context of modern views on the nature of folklore and the content of folk traditions, semantic and technical expansion of the scientific source base. In particular, the principles of folklore archives organizing tasks are considered here. There is represented the experience of researches of Folklore Archive of Filaret Kolessa Ukrainian Folklore Studies Department and “Electronic Archive of Ukrainian Folklore” at Lviv University (Ukraine).
