Abstract

The article presents religious consciousness in the information society through the prism of the Internet. The Internet is considered as a means of transforming the forms of expression of religiosity, contributing to the increase of religious literacy of the population. On the example of the analysis of various online services, websites and applications. According to many authors, representatives of religious denominations, especially Islam, are undergoing changes regarding some information elements in the Internet environment. Transformations that lead to an increase in the directions and branches of traditional religions that appear and are often discussed on the Internet can be both ideological and discursive in nature. If we talk about the content analysis of religious pages of social networks, in general, the main thematic areas are various aspects of culture (stories about historical figures, reviews of books and films, educational and expert materials about art, culture, contemporary phenomena and trends), as well as family life and moral issues, charity, etc. There are enough such examples, and all of them say that religious denominations widely represented on the Internet use the possibilities of the Internet in their rituals more and more. As a result of this interaction, the Internet and religion, both the influence of religion on the Internet and the influence of the Internet on religion are observed. Although the Internet has existed for a long time, its widespread use began just over a decade ago, and in such a conservative environment as religion, this happened quite recently. Internet sources of information about Islam, questions about the goals, objectives and functions of these resources fall under the study. In this regard, this question is very relevant today
