Abstract

Purpose The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between the professional competence of smart meisters dispatched to small and medium-sized enterprises and the preparation and change management of participating companies, and to examine how they affect satisfaction with the smart meister dispatch system and corporate performance. Methods This study developed a structured questionnaire along with a review of prior research and collected 160 valid data from companies participating in the Smart Meister support project in 2021. And the acquired data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS. Results Among the 12 hypotheses established to examine the effect of the government''s Smart Meister support system on corporate performance, 11 hypotheses were adopted, confirming the effectiveness of the Meister project. Conclusion The wealth of experience and know-how possessed by Smart Meisters is useful in supplementing the insufficient competencies of companies. In addition, the areas and contents of support services provided based on the professional competence of the Meister increase the organization''s acceptance of change and the satisfaction of the Meister system, which in turn contributes to the improvement of corporate performance. Therefore, it is judged that it is desirable to follow the education that can further strengthen the professional competence of the master.
